Most times, our understanding of others is based on minimal knowledge, yet, we can eagerly make all kinds of assumptions and judgements based on this incomplete knowledge. Mature Christians have learnt to presume that they are assuming. They also realise that they also have faults and many blind spots. As a result, they are far more eager to practice empathy and demonstrate grace towards others. (Matthew 7:1-5)
